Naches Pass Trail Snow Run

Novermber 2003

We finally had the chance to try the Naches Pass Trail with a little snow. On this day there was compact snow and ice on the trail and in spots the ice was enough to warrant the use of the air lockers. As we had experienced several storms over the previous months there were a couple of trees across the trail which necessitated some fancy driving to get past. During the winter months, a winch is a must and lockers helped too. However the beauty of this trail with snow on it is well worth the trip. Note: The Naches Pass trail is closed for the season from November 15th through July 15th every year.

If you have a chance to run the Naches with a little snow, do it!  The scenery is well worth it.  The pictures speak volumes.
