Nealy Creek Trail 4W315

Nealy Creek Trail (4W315)

Distance: 2.3 miles
Running time: Approx. 45min
Difficulty: More Difficult
Season: Closed from October 15th through July 15th

The Nealy Creek Trail runs east from the Table Mountain/Reecer Creek road to the FS-3521 road. The trail starts off running through stands of forest and seems easy enough when you set out off of the Table Mountain road. The trail becomes increasingly harder as you proceed east. Sections of off camber will make taller rigs a little uncomfortable to say the least.  When wet there are places on this trail that offer little to stop a rig from sliding off into the trees and is the reason why it earns a More Difficult rating.

Because the Nealy Creek Trail is within the Table Mountain Management Area it is closed to motorized use (except snowmobiles) from October 15th through June 15th every year.

When combined with the Ragan Trail (4W316) it makes a nice loop ride. This is a great trail to run if you are short on time as it doesn't take long to run it. Total time to run both the Nealy Creek and Ragan trails should only be about 1.5 hours.

Getting There:

Approximately 4 miles west of Ellensburg on Hwy 97 turn north on Green Canyon Road. Follow Green Canyon Road north for 4.9 miles where it will ‘T’ into Robinson RD. Turn left here and procede about .5 miles and around a right hand corner. Robinson Rd becomes Green Canyon Rd again and continues north another 2.5 miles. Green Canyon Road turns left here. Continue straight ahead, the road becomes Reecer Creek Rd at this point. Reecer Creek Rd goes through many switchbacks as it climbs onto table mountain. After about 8.6 miles and on top of table mountain, the pavement ends and the road becomes Table Mountain Rd. Not far (maybe a couple of blocks) after the pavement ends the trailhead for the Most Difficult rated 4W319 (Crystal Ridge Trail) is on the left, FS3521 is to the right and will take you to the east end of both the Nealy and Ragan Trails. Continuing for 1.5 miles on Table Mountain Road will bring you to the trail head for 4W315 Nealy Creek Trail on the right.
