Cattle Camp Trail (4W675)

The Cattle Camp Trail runs from FS-1702 up hill to join the CJRs Hidout trail (4W944) on Bald mountain.  This is a fairly easy trail that winds it's way through old clear cuts and really is only an alternate entry or exit to the 4W944 trail.  This trail is suitable for just about any SUV and full size vehicles.

Getting There:

6.5 miles east of Cliffdell on Hwy. 410, turn northeast on FS 1702. After 3.77 miles on FS1702 you will pass FS1720 on the right, continue straight ahead as FS1702 switchbacks several times as it climbs the hill.  1.70 miles from the FS1720 turnoff follow FS1702 around a tight right hand switchback, FS1721 splits off on the left here.  Follow FS1702 another 4.85 miles up hill making sure you stay on the main road as there are several roads branching off.  The Cattle Camp trail will be on the left about 1/4 mile before FS1702 ends. The trail may or may not be marked.
